Discover how to visit the past and being yesterday’s stories into our lives today. The Dark ages was a period when there were very limited at sources and people didn’t have too many occupations. Communication and travelling wasn’t easy until the steam power was invented and it gave birth to something called ‘Industrial Revolution’. Industrial Revolution, in modern history is the time when the primary occupation of man changed from agriculture and handicraft to manufacturing and allied activities. This began in Britain in the 18th Century.<
First Industrial Revolution:
The first wave of the Industrial Revolution lasted from the late 1700’s to the mid -1800’s. the technological changes included (1) the use of new basic materials, chiefly iron and steel, (2) the use of new energy sources, including both fuels and motive power, such as coal, the steam engine * electricity etc. (3) The invention of new machines.
As a result of Industrial Revolution, began the exploitation of labour which therefore let to birth of Communism. Karl Marx came up with theories about capitalism and communism, which was caused due to the exploitation of labours.
The stem engine helped to power the Industrial Revolution. Before Steam power, most factories and mills were powered by water, wind, horse, or man. Water was a good source of power, but factories had to be located near a river …. It also provided reliable power and could be used to power large machines.
I would like to end by saying that ‘the last capitalist we hang shall be the one who sold us the rope’
