The two countries USA and Soviet Union became known as the super powers and they started making more and more bombs. Now, they have almost 6500 nuclear bombs, which is not good as the material used- uranium, makes a lot of power and causes mass destruction.
If one day, something bad happens then all the nuke factories and nuclear bombs will blast and cause destruction that can be enough to destroy the whole world. And now also every country wants nuclear bombs.
In the Cold War, the nuclear production was escalated by the two countries to participate in a nuclear race. These both had different ideologies in which the Soviet Union supported communism and the USA support capitalism and now the two countries have become so powerful that now they fight indirectly and not directly because of the fear of nuclear weapons.
It started just after the end of World War II and ended in 1991.
Hence, USA was confident as they tested their bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.
I think if nuclear power will be obtained by every country then it can lead to WWIII which can also be the end of the world, as nowadays several countries have nuclear bombs while those which doesn’t have weapons possess technology using which they can make it whenever they want.
If the Cold War hadn’t started the nuclear bombs today would not have been so many now. USA started with the bomb and now they have to end this bomb as it has very powerful energy which can be misused. If Einstein hadn’t mentioned the making or the atomic bomb, it would not be here in this world. Oppenheimer said one thing, “few people laughed, a few cried and most of were silent”.
