Let me tell you about a secret here, who tried to save the world!
On August 2nd 1939, Albert Einstein wrote a letter to FDR to tell him that,in the course ofthe previousfour months, it had been made probable – through the work of Joliot in France, as well as Fermi & Szilard in America- that it may become possible to set up a nuclear chain reaction in a large mass of uranium, by which vast amounts of power and large quantities of new radium like elements would be generated.
When, FDR had found out about the formula of creating the Atomic bomb, they couldn’t let U.S.S.R get the formula of creating the Atomic Bomb. So, FDR started the Manhattan Project, in which 20,000 famous scientists had put their brains in this project!
On 6th, 9th August 1945, U.S. dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Many people died, some got injured and some got cancer.
Although Albert Einstein had failed to stop U.S from dropping the bomb, he became a hero because of his thoughts. Whatever he thought was for all the people.
“A king fights for his nation, but a hero fights for his world!”
